Maria has never surrendered to Christ—just possesses head information. Pray that God will rebuke demonic forces; place a hedge of thorns around her and cause them to lose interest in her and she in them and do whatever is necessary to bring her to repentance. They have been married 7 years and it has been so chaotic. My son-in-law has no concept of money management skills. He wants to spend beyond his means and thus he has himself and my daughter in financial debt that is just wreaking havoc on their marriage. I have a wonderful 5 year old grandson who is suffering because of this man's bad decisions. I was in the home yesterday to take care of my grandson while they were both working. In the space of 4 hours, four calls from creditors came asking about past due accounts. This kind of ethic is so far opposed to the way my husband and I believe and my daughter feels additional stress because she was raised to pay her bills in a timely manner and not buy beyond what she could afford. I am laying all this at Jesus' feet and I ask Him to get my son-in-law's attention and let him see the error of his ways. This man has some good qualities and I have tried to see those. When my daughter has spoken of divorce in the past, I have begged her to stay in the marriage for my grandson's sake. Now,I can see what a toll it has taken on her mental status. She suffers from a bipolar condition and takes medication to try keep herself on track. These constant financial crises only get her so very depressed that she spirals downward into terrible depressions and, of course my grandson sees all this going on. I personally would like to ask God what role I should be playing in all this. Please speak to me, dear Father, and let me know what you would have me to do. Help me to control the angry feelings I have. It is difficult for me to supress the urge to verbally confront this man about his stupid spending habits. I have encouraged my daughter to communicate with him and let him know that she will not tolerate this behavior but he is so much in control and basically becomes mean and uncommunicative when she tries to discuss their financial mess. I have been giving my daughter money at different times to try to get out from under some of her debts and I have helped her with buying clothing for my grandson. My husband and I are of limited income and I can't believe that I should jeopardize our meager finances to bail them out. For the first three years of my grandson's life, I provided free babysitting and in turn, they did not save any money but spent frivolously. I thoroughly enjoyed that time with my grandson but is was discouraging that they could not take advantage of that and save money. These are all the issues I would like to address with my son-in-law. I need a sign from God to let me know if I should be the one to intervene. This man's father has never been able to discuss important issues with him. It is all so very frustrating. I know God feels my heart aching for my daughter and my grandson. Please, Dear Lord, hear and answer our prayers that he can see that God loves him and does not want him to ruin his marriage with this spending problem. From: "JENNY" Please pray for a dear friend's mother—Shelia C. is in my doctoral cohort and a personal friend. Her mother June is in the hospital. They are conducting tests looking for a source of the cancer they found when she had her gallbadder removed last week. They ruled out colon and are testing for pancreatic today. Shelia and her family have requested prayer. Please also lift up Shelia as she ministers to her family and mother. Mark and Pattie request prayer for their son: Brian, who is thirteen years old fractured his arm while skateboarding in front of our house. Both bones in his left arm were completely broken and he is in a cast from his fingertips to right below his shoulder. His pain is considerable but he trusts that the Lord will reduce his discomfort. Brian has had quite a few broken bone accidents recently. His collarbone was broken in February of 2003 playing football and the Lord healed him completely. In April of this year he fell from a rope swing to the ground below breaking his left arm and his right collarbone in two places. In five weeks time, the Lord miraculously healed his arm to the point of no visible break on the x-ray and new bone of over one inch was already in place where the collarbone was broken. The doctor was amazed at his fast healing and personally could not explain it. We gave glory to God and the doctor just nodded. Praise be to God! Now, we have this broken arm just five months later. As you can see, Brian is definitely under attack and we plead the Blood of Jesus to cover and protect him. He is a strong young man of God and has suffered repeatedly from these "accidents". We are asking you to pray with us for complete healing and that no complications would arise. "Trust in the Lord with all your heart; and lean not unto your own understanding. It all your ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct thy paths." (Prov 3:5-6) From: "PEG" Please pray for Greg W. who is very troubled and confused. He confessed that he feels alone and empty even though he has all his "brothers" from the motorcycle club that he has become part of around him. This club is affiliated with the hells angels. Greg is currently headed in a disastrous direction in life. He has had thoughts of wanting to die. He knows that he needs to make changes in his life but has been unable to leave the club and make the changes on his own. The motorcycle club continues to control him. He needs our help through prayer. Please pray that God intervene in the life of Greg. That God is revealed to Greg in an undeniable way. That Greg be able to clearly see the truth of his life. That God gives Greg the courage and strength to free himself from the control that the motorcycle club has over him. That Greg quit and leave the motorcycle club. That his heart is softened and his fears are calmed that he may turn toward God and ask for God's assistance. That God guide him in an undeniable way as to help Greg develop a relationship with God. Please pray that God keeps Greg safe from danger during this process. Peg From: "MARC" I am having alot of problems at my school because there are some really bad rumors going on. I know who did it and I so wanna just go over to him and beat him up. So I need prayer that I can keep my anger in check so I won't get in trouble. Also I need prayer that people won't believe the rumors because the rumors lost me my girlfriend and one of my good friends so please pray for me. Thanks alot, Marc From: "JENNY" Please pray for Debbie and her husband Roger who has cancer and is facing surgery next Friday. They plan to remove much of the roof of his mouth and there will not be anything separating his mouth and nasal passage so eating or drinking will be very difficult for him until he can get a plate made which will take about six weeks. They will take the first impressions a week or so after surgery. He doesn't complain but I know he is scared. They were right in the middle of major house renovations when they found out about the cancer. A month ago a waterbed upstairs in their home broke and destroyed all the first floor ceilings. All the furniture from downstairs is sitting outside in a storage trailer until the ceilings can be replaced and damages repaired. Roger has to rest so the house must wait but this adds more stress on him. So please pray. The Doctor said that the first biopsy looks like it is the kind of cancer that doesn't spread as bad but he really won't know until he gets in there. Debbie says, "I can't sleep—I know I have to walk in faith but fear really is trying to grip me. Please pray for us." Please say a prayer for Kelly and her unborn daughter as she sees a fetal specialist on Friday to evaluate a condition called polyhydramnios, which means there is excessive amniotic fluid. 60% of the time this is no big deal, but in some cases it could mean the baby has some problems or add risk to the delivery. Kelly is hoping the fluid will go down on its own so it does not have to be drawn off by amniocentesis.
